CARA Airline Solutions is a division of Cara which caters meals and bars to many different airlines on a national level.  We have many small and large catering contracts with various airlines, the largest being Air Canada, which accounts for the majority of our daily operation on both a local as well as a national scale.  Other airlines we cater to include WestJet, Canjet, Condor, Air Transat, Thomas Cooke, RAF, etc.

On May 29, 2009 Cara Associates were told by Head Office that there were going to be some changes made within the company structure.

Group Retirement Savings Plan
1.  Cara's contribution to GRSP  for salaried Associates will be temporarily suspended, however if hourly Associates want to temporarily withhold their contribution they will be able to do so, effective June 8, 2009.  Company contribution will resume first pay in 2010.

Associate Discount Card

2.  All Cara Associates have a discount card that provides them with a 20% discount at Cara restaurants.  The current card will expire as of July 1, 2009.

Service Awards

3.  As of June 1, 2009 the Service Award program will be discontinued.  Associates celebrating a Service Award anniversary up to May 31, 2009 will be recognized.

Completion!!  The last three pictures show the final process of catering a flight.  The truck is parked near the door (front or aft) of the aircraft to be serviced and in most cases we have to fully exchange bars/dry goods, etc for new equipment for the next flight.
